Group play explained
Lottery syndicates
Understand shared tickets, shared costs and shared prizes before joining a group.
Smart Lottery Guide does not run a syndicate. We explain the concept and link to third-party services. We do not collect entry money, buy group tickets or distribute prizes.
How a syndicate works
A group contributes towards lottery entries. If an entry wins, the group shares the prize under its agreement. Buying more distinct entries increases the group’s coverage, but each member receives only their agreed share.
Group play does not make any individual combination more likely to be drawn. More coverage also comes with additional cost; there is no guaranteed return.
Before joining
Check the number of entries, total shares, your share of prizes, draw dates and the complete price.
Before paying
Read how tickets are recorded, who holds them, how prizes are claimed and whether the entry renews automatically.
A simple example
If you hold one of ten equal shares, your share would be one tenth of the amount distributed to the group under its terms. This is an illustration, not a promised payout.
Common questions
Do you have a member dashboard?
No. Any account, ticket record or payout process belongs to the provider you choose.
Can a syndicate lose?
Yes. A group can buy several entries and win nothing. Only commit money you can afford to lose.
Are prices and payout rules the same everywhere?
No. Check the provider, game, draw and syndicate agreement.
